Installation Procedure

    NOTE:

    Install a NEW gasket.

    Camshaft Cover Gasket (1) - Install

    Camshaft Cover (4) - Install

  3. Camshaft Cover Bolt (3) - Loosely install (Qty: 19)
  4. Camshaft Cover Washer (2) - Install
    5. NOTE:

    Ensure the long camshaft cover bolts (1) are installed in the correct positions.

  5. Camshaft Cover Bolt (1) - Loosely install (Qty: 4)

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  7. Engine Coolant Air Bleed Pipe - Install - Engine Coolant Air Bleed Pipe Replacement (LCV)
  8. Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve - Intake - Install - Camshaft Position Actuator Intake Solenoid Valve Replacement
  9. Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve - Exhaust - Install - Camshaft Position Actuator Exhaust Solenoid Valve Replacement
  10. Install the ignition coil. Ignition Coil Replacement
  11. Vacuum Pump - Install - Vacuum Pump Replacement
  12. Oil Level Indicator - Install
  13. Camshaft Cover Heat Shield - Install - Camshaft Cover Heat Shield Replacement

    Wiring Harness (2) - Reposition

  15. Wiring Harness Retainer (1) - Install
  16. Positive Crankcase Ventilation Tube - Install - Positive Crankcase Ventilation Hose/Pipe/Tube Replacement
