Installation Procedure

- Camshaft Cover Gasket - Install
- Camshaft Cover - Install
- Camshaft Cover Bolt - Loosely install
- Tighten the camshaft cover bolts in sequence to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
- Fuel Feed Pipe@Fuel Pump- Install — Fuel Feed Pipe Replacement (LCV)Fuel Feed Pipe Replacement (LTG)Fuel Feed Pipe Replacement (Chassis Fuel Feed Pipe to High Pressure Fuel Pump)
- Camshaft Cover Heat Shield Replacement (LCV) Camshaft Cover Heat Shield Replacement (LTG) - Install
- Inspect the O-ring and replace if necessary.
- Positive Crankcase Ventilation Hose Fitting - Connect
- Positive Crankcase Ventilation Hose Fitting Bolt - Install and tighten 8 N.m (71 lb in)
- Camshaft Position Actuator Exhaust Solenoid Valve Replacement - Install
- Camshaft Position Actuator Intake Solenoid Valve Replacement - Install
- Install the engine oil level indicator.
- Turbocharger Heat Shield Replacement - Install
- Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Clamp- Tighten — Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (LCV)Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (LTG)
- Turbocharger Coolant Return Pipe Replacement (LF4 - Bank 1)Turbocharger Coolant Return Pipe Replacement (LF4 - Bank 2)Turbocharger Coolant Return Pipe Replacement (LTG) - Install
- Engine Coolant Air Bleed Pipe Replacement (LTG)Engine Coolant Air Bleed Pipe Replacement (LGX) - Install
- Vacuum Pump Replacement - Install
- Ignition Coil Replacement - Install
NOTE:
Install a NEW gasket.
NOTE:
Add 14mm bead of sealant at right and left T-Joint where front cover meets head and at rear of camshaft cover right and left T-Joint where vacuum pump bolts on.
NOTE:
Ensure the long camshaft cover bolts (2) are installed in the correct positions.
CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
NOTE:
Always ensure the PCV hose fitting O-Ring (3) seal is free of cuts or abrasions each time the fitting is attached to the turbocharger.
