Installation Procedure

- Install a NEW O-ring seal.
- Position the oil level indicator and tube by sliding the tube down and in to the approximate location of the lower crankcase hole.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Base)Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (V-Series) .
- Engine Lower Front Splash Shield Remove - Front Wheelhouse Splash Shield Replacement (AWD)Front Wheelhouse Splash Shield Replacement (RWD)
- Guide the lower portion of the oil level indicator tube into the lower crankcase hole and seat the oil level indicator tube in place
- Engine Lower Front Splash Shield Install - Front Wheelhouse Splash Shield Replacement (AWD)Front Wheelhouse Splash Shield Replacement (RWD)
- Lower the vehicle.
- Install the oil level indicator tube bracket bolt (1) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
