Installation Procedure

- Place a 3 mm (0.118 in) bead of RTV sealant to the oil pan to crankshaft rear oil seal housing surface Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers (LGX)
- Install the crankshaft rear oil seal housing to the engine block. Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal and Housing Installation (LGX)
- Install the oil pan to crankshaft rear oil seal and housing bolts (1).
- Tighten the oil pan to crankshaft rear oil seal and housing bolts to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).
- Automatic Transmission Flex Plate Replacement (LGX) Install
NOTE:
DO NOT allow any engine oil on the area where the crankshaft rear oil seal housing is to be installed.
