Sealant Procedure
- Ensure proper use of room temperature vulcanizing (RTV) sealant. Use of Room Temperature Vulcanizing (RTV) and Anaerobic Sealant
- Place a 3 mm (0.118 in) bead of RTV sealant to the NEW crankshaft rear oil seal housing as shown (1). Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers (LF4)Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers (LGX)
for recommended sealant.
NOTE:
DO NOT allow any engine oil on the area where the crankshaft rear oil seal housing is to be installed.

Procedure
- Install the EN-51766
tool onto the rear of the crankshaft flange.
- Install the crankshaft rear oil seal housing (1) to the engine block.
- Install the crankshaft rear oil seal housing bolts (2) and tighten in sequence shown.
- Remove the EN-51766
tool from the crankshaft flange.
