Removal Procedure

  1. Camshaft Housing Cover Insulator Replacement - Right Side  Remove
  2. Positive Crankcase Ventilation Tube Disconnect @ Camshaft Cover
  3. Ignition Coil Replacement - Bank 1 (LGX) Remove
  4. Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve Solenoid Replacement - Bank 1 (Right Side) Exhaust (LGX) Remove
  5. Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve Solenoid Replacement - Bank 1 (Right Side) Intake (LGX) Remove
  6. Disconnect and remove the engine harness from the camshaft cover.
    7. Fig 1: Fuel Feed Pipe -- At Engine (LGX)

  7. Remove the fuel feed pipe bracket bolt (1) and reposition the fuel feed lines. Fuel Feed Pipe Replacement (Fuel Tank To Engine LGX)Fuel Feed Pipe Replacement (LGX at Engine)

  8. Camshaft Cover Bolt- Remove
  9. Camshaft Cover - Remove
  10. Camshaft Cover Seal- Remove and DISCARD
  11. Disassemble the camshaft cover as needed. Camshaft Cover Disassemble (LGX) .
  12. Clean the mating surfaces of the cylinder head and the camshaft cover. Camshaft Cover Cleaning and Inspection (LGX)
