Installation Procedure

- Assemble the camshaft cover as needed. Camshaft Cover Assemble (LGX) .
- Place a bead 8 mm (0.3150 in) in width by 4 mm (0.1575 in) in height of RTV sealant equivalent, on the engine front cover split lines (1). Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers (LGX)
- Camshaft Cover Seal - Install
- Camshaft Cover - Install
- Camshaft Cover Bolt - Loosely install
- Camshaft Cover Bolt - Tighten 15 N.m (11 lb ft)
- Position the fuel feed pipe and install the fuel feed pipe bolt (1). Fuel Feed Pipe Replacement (Fuel Tank To Engine LGX)Fuel Feed Pipe Replacement (LGX at Engine)
- Position and install the engine harness to the camshaft cover.
- Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve Solenoid Replacement - Bank 1 (Right Side) Intake (LGX) Install
- Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve Solenoid Replacement - Bank 1 (Right Side) Exhaust (LGX) Install
- Ignition Coil Replacement - Bank 1 (LGX) Install
- Positive Crankcase Ventilation Tube Connect @ Camshaft Cover
- Camshaft Housing Cover Insulator Replacement - Right Side Install
NOTE:
Install a NEW seal.
CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
NOTE:
Tighten in the sequence shown.
