Installation Procedure

  1. Knuckle (1) Install

    WARNING:

    Refer to Torque-to-Yield Fastener Warning .

  2. Rear Suspension Lower Control Arm Bolt (2) Install a NEW bolt.
  3. Rear Suspension Lower Control Arm Nut (1) Install - Lower Control Arm Replacement (F55) Lower Control Arm Replacement

  4. Install the NEW lower rear trailing arm outer bolt (2) and the nut (1). Trailing Arm Replacement (Upper) Trailing Arm Replacement (Lower)

  5. Install the NEW upper rear trailing arm outer bolt (2) and the nut (1). Trailing Arm Replacement (Upper) Trailing Arm Replacement (Lower)

  6. Install the brake cable to the knuckle and install the retaining bolt (1). Parking Brake Rear Cable Replacement

  7. Rear Stabilizer Shaft Link Bolt (1) Install - Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement

  9. Rear Suspension Upper Lateral Link Bolt (2) Install a NEW bolt.
  10. Rear Suspension Upper Lateral Link nut (1) Install - Upper Control Arm Replacement

  11. Rear Wheel Speed Sensor (2) Install
  12. Wheel Speed Sensor Bolt (1) Install - Rear Wheel Speed Sensor Replacement
  13. Install the rear brake backing plate. Rear Brake Backing Plate Replacement
  14. Install the wheel bearing and hub assembly. Rear Wheel Bearing and Hub Replacement 
  15. Install the rear brake rotor. Rear Brake Rotor Replacement (JE5, J55)Rear Brake Rotor Replacement (J6G)
  16. Install the rear brake caliper and bracket. Rear Brake Caliper Bracket Replacement

  17. Install the NEW wheel drive shaft retaining nut (1). Rear Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement - Left Side (LCV, LF4)Rear Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement - Left Side (LTG, LGX) , or Rear Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement - Right Side (LGX, LGT)Rear Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement - Right Side (LF4, LCV)
  18. Install the rear wheel. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Non V-Series)Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (V-Series October 4th 2015 and Earlier)Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (V-Series October 5th 2015 and Later)
  19. Adjust the rear wheel alignment. Rear Camber Adjustment , or Rear Toe Adjustment
