Installation Procedure

- Lubricate the threads and sealing surface of the NEW fuel injection fuel rail fuel pressure sensor with one drop of clean engine oil.
- Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Fuel Pressure Sensor 2 @ Fuel Injection Fuel Rail 3 -Install the NEW fuel injection fuel rail fuel pressure sensor and hand tighten.
- Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Fuel Pressure Sensor 2 @ Fuel Injection Fuel Rail 3 -Remove and re-lubricate with one drop of clean engine oil.
- Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Fuel Pressure Sensor 2 @ Fuel Injection Fuel Rail 3 -Install and tighten 33 N.m (24 lb ft)
- Electrical Connector 1 @ Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Fuel Pressure Sensor 2 -Connect
- Pressurize the fuel system and inspect for leaks.
- Engine Rear Noise Shield Replacement (LF4) Engine Rear Noise Shield Replacement (LGX) -Install
NOTE:
Applying force to the plastic housing of the sensor may damage the sensor. To tighten or loosen, apply force only to the attached hexagon.
NOTE:
Ensure the fuel rail threads are clean and free of any excess fuel, or the fuel injection fuel rail fuel pressure sensor will NOT seal properly.
CAUTION:
Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution .
NOTE:
If a fuel leak occurs at the fuel rail, the fuel rail will need to be replaced.
