Installation Procedure

  1. Place a 3 mm (0.118 in) bead of RTV sealant to the oil pan to crankshaft rear oil seal housing surface Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
    2. NOTE:

    DO NOT allow any engine oil on the area where the crankshaft rear oil seal housing is to be installed.

  2. Install the crankshaft rear oil seal housing to the engine block. Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal and Housing Installation

  3. Install the oil pan to crankshaft rear oil seal and housing bolts (1).
    4. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  4. Tighten the oil pan to crankshaft rear oil seal and housing bolts to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).
  5. Install Automatic Transmission Flex Plate.Automatic Transmission Flex Plate Replacement
