Installation Procedure

  1. Install the air conditioning refrigerant heat exchanger to the vehicle.
    2. Fig 1: Air Conditioning Refrigerant Heat Exchanger

  2. Install Air Conditioning Refrigerant Heat Exchanger (1) @ Front Compartment Side Rail
  3. Clip the wire harness to the air conditioning refrigerant heat exchanger.

  4. Install a NEW sealing washers (3) (Qty: 2)
    5. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  5. Install Air Conditioning Refrigerant Heat Exchanger (1) @ Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Intermediate Tube
  6. Install and tighten Air Conditioning Refrigerant Heat Exchanger Nuts (2) (Qty: 2) @ Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Intermediate Tube to 22 N.m (16 lb ft)

  7. Install a NEW sealing washers (2) (Qty: 2)
  8. Install Air Conditioning Refrigerant Heat Exchanger (1) @ Air Conditioning Evaporator Thermal Expansion Valve
  9. Install and tighten Air Conditioning Refrigerant Heat Exchanger Nut (3) @ Air Conditioning Evaporator Thermal Expansion Valve to 22 N.m (16 lb ft)

  10. Install Air Conditioning Refrigerant Heat Exchanger (2) @ Front Wheelhouse Panel
  11. Install and tighten Air Conditioning Refrigerant Heat Exchanger Nut (1) @ Front Wheelhouse Panel to 9 N.m (80 lb in)

  12. Install Air Conditioning Refrigerant Heat Exchanger (1) @ Front Compartment Side Rail

  13. Install a NEW sealing washer (3).
  14. Install Air Conditioning Refrigerant Heat Exchanger (1) @ Air Conditioning Condenser
  15. Install and tighten Air Conditioning Refrigerant Heat Exchanger Nut (2) @ Air Conditioning Condenser to 22 N.m (16 lb ft)

  16. Install Air Conditioning Compressor and Condenser Hose (2) @ Air Conditioning Refrigerant Heat Exchanger. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor and Condenser Hose Replacement (LGX)

  17. Install Engine Mount Brace (2). Refer to Engine Mount Replacement - Right Side
  18. Install the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement
  19. Recharge the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (R-1234yf)
