Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the engine oil. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement 
  2. Remove Oil Pump Flow Control Valve Heat Shield. Refer to Oil Pump Flow Control Valve Heat Shield Replacement
  3. Remove Engine Front Cover. Refer to Engine Front Cover Replacement 
  4. Remove Exhaust Front Pipe. Refer to Exhaust Front Pipe Replacement (LCV)

  5. Remove Catalytic Converter Brace Bolts (1) (Qty: 2)
  6. Remove Catalytic Converter Brace (2)

  7. Remove Air Conditioning Compressor Bolt (1)
  8. Remove Front Cradle Brace. Refer to Front Cradle Brace Replacement
  9. Remove Power Transfer Unit Case. Refer to Power Transfer Unit Case Replacement

  10. Remove Oil Pan Bolt (1)

  12. Disconnect the oil level switch connector (1).

  13. Remove the long oil pan bolts (3), medium bolt (2) and short bolts (1), then remove the oil pan.
  14. For part transfer, cleaning and inspection, refer to Oil Pan Cleaning and Inspection .
