Installation Procedure

    NOTE:

    Install a NEW gasket.

  1. Install Intake Manifold Gasket (1)
    2. Fig 2: Intake Manifold And Bolts

  2. Move Intake Manifold (3) into position
  3. Install Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Fuel Pressure Sensor. Refer to Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Fuel Pressure Sensor Replacement
  4. Install Intake Manifold (3)
  5. Loosely install Upper Intake Manifold Bolts (2) (Qty: 5)

  6. Reposition the harness (2) as needed, then install the wiring harness retainers (1).
  7. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
  8. Loosely install Lower Intake Manifold Bolt (1)

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  9. Tighten in sequence

    Tighten

    1. First Pass: 12 N.m (106 lb in)
    2. Final Pass: 12 N.m (106 lb in)

  10. Reposition Engine Wiring Harness (4)
  11. Connect Electrical Connector (1)
  12. Connect Electrical Connector (2)
  13. Connect Electrical Connector (3)
  14. Connect Engine Coolant Air Bleed Hose @ Engine Coolant Air Bleed Pipe. Refer to Engine Coolant Air Bleed Pipe Replacement (LCV)
  15. Install Throttle Body Assembly. Refer to Throttle Body Assembly Replacement
  16. Install Fuel Feed Front Pipe. Refer to Fuel Feed Front Pipe Replacement
  17. Install Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve. Refer to Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve Replacement

  18. Install Positive Crankcase Ventilation Hose (1). Refer to Positive Crankcase Ventilation Hose/Pipe/Tube Replacement 
  19. Install Air Cleaner Outlet Duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement
  20. Install Intake Manifold Cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement
