Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE-47716) Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static) 
  2. Remove Engine Mount - Right Side. Refer to Engine Mount Replacement - Right Side
  3. Remove Drive Belt Tensioner. Refer to Drive Belt Tensioner Replacement
  4. Remove Drive Belt Idler Pulley. Refer to Drive Belt Idler Pulley Replacement
  5. Remove Water Pump Pulley. Refer to Water Pump Pulley Replacement (LGX) 
    6. Fig 1: Engine Front Cover Bolts And Water Pump Bolts

  6. Remove Engine Front Cover Bolts (1) (Qty: 9)
  7. Remove and DISCARD Water Pump Bolt (2) (Qty: 5)

  8. Remove Water Pump (1)
  9. Remove and DISCARD Water Pump Gasket (2)
  10. Carefully clean the water pump sealing surfaces.
