Installation Procedure

- Install Water Pump Gasket (2)
- Install Water Pump (1)
- Hand tighten Water Pump Bolts (2) (Qty: 5)
- Hand tighten Engine Front Cover Bolts (1) (Qty: 9)
- Tighten the water pump bolts in the sequence shown to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).
- Install Water Pump Pulley. Refer to Water Pump Pulley Replacement (LGX)
- Install Drive Belt Idler Pulley. Refer to Drive Belt Idler Pulley Replacement
- Install Drive Belt Tensioner. Refer to Drive Belt Tensioner Replacement
- Install Engine Mount - Right Side. Refer to Engine Mount Replacement - Right Side
- Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE-47716) Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static)
- Start the engine and check for leaks.
NOTE:
Install a NEW water pump gasket.
CAUTION:
Refer to Torque-to-Yield Fastener Caution .
NOTE:
Install a NEW bolt. Do NOT reuse the old bolt.
