Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement
    2. Fig 1: Intake Air Splash Shield And Fasteners

  2. Remove Intake Air Splash Shield (3). Refer to Intake Air Splash Shield Replacement
  3. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE-47716) Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static)

  4. Remove Radiator Outlet Hose (2) @ Radiator. Refer to Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement (LGX Radiator Outlet Hose Tee to Radiator)

  5. Remove Radiator Surge Tank Inlet Hose (2) @ Radiator. Refer to Radiator Surge Tank Inlet Hose Replacement (LGX From Radiator Surge Tank to Radiator and Radiator Surge Tank Outlet Pipe)

  6. Remove Radiator Inlet Hose (2) @ Radiator. Refer to Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement (LGX)

  7. Disconnect Electrical Connector (1) @ Engine Coolant Fan
  8. Disconnect Wiring Harness @ Engine Coolant Fan

  9. Remove Radiator Air Front Lower Baffle (1). Refer to Radiator Air Front Lower Baffle Replacement (LGX)

  10. If equipped, Remove Radiator Air Upper Baffle (1). Refer to Radiator Air Upper Baffle Replacement (LGX)

  11. Remove Radiator Air Side Upper Baffle (1). Refer to Radiator Air Side Upper Baffle Replacement

  12. Remove Transmission Fluid Auxiliary Cooler (2). Refer to Transmission Fluid Auxiliary Cooler Replacement (with V08)

  13. Remove Transmission Fluid Cooler Pipe (2) @ Radiator. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Pipe Replacement (LGX with V08)

  14. Remove Transmission Fluid Cooler Thermal Bypass Valve (3). Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Thermal Bypass Valve Replacement (V08)

  18. Remove Engine Coolant Fan Module Radiator (1)
  19. Transfer components as necessary.
