Installation Procedure

- Install NEW Brake Pedal Retainer (1)
- Install Power Brake Booster Seal (1)
- Install Power Brake Booster (1)
- Install Power Brake Booster Bolt (1) and tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
- Secure Fuel Injector Wiring Harness Retainer (1)
- Position the heater coolant pump to the transmission case.
- Install {If equipped}Heater Coolant Pump Stud (1) - Heater Coolant Pump Replacement (LCV)
- Position the master cylinder to the power brake booster.
- Install Master Cylinder Nut (1) and tighten 49 N.m (36 lb ft)
- Connect the brake fluid level indicator switch electrical connector.
- Secure Brake Pedal Retainer (1) & Brake Pedal (2) @Power Brake Booster Pushrod
- Install Brake Pedal Position Sensor- Brake Pedal Position Sensor Replacement
- Install Power Brake Booster Vacuum Sensor (1)
- Connect Power Brake Booster Vacuum Sensor Electrical Connector
- Reposition and install the radiator surge tank. Radiator Surge Tank Replacement (LGX with V08)Radiator Surge Tank Replacement (LCV)
NOTE:
Align the power brake booster pushrod with the brake pedal retainer.
CAUTION:
NOTE:
Ensure the brake master cylinder gasket is positioned correctly against the master cylinder mounting flange.
NOTE:
Install NEW nuts.
NOTE:
A small amount of denatured alcohol may be used as a lubricant for assembly.
