Removal Procedure

  1. Place the ignition switch in the OFF position.
  2. Without disconnecting the hoses, remove and position aside the radiator surge tank. Radiator Surge Tank Replacement (LGX with V08)Radiator Surge Tank Replacement (LCV)

    NOTE:

    Master cylinder not shown for clarity.

    NOTE:

    Do NOT loosen the power brake booster bolts completely.

  3. Loosen Power Brake Booster Bolt (1)
  4. Remove Instrument Panel Lower Airbag - Driver Side - Instrument Panel Lower Airbag Replacement - Driver Side
  5. Remove Front Floor Console Extension Panel - Left - Front Floor Console Extension Panel Replacement - Left Side
  6. Remove Brake Pedal Position Sensor - Brake Pedal Position Sensor Replacement
  7. Disconnect Accelerator Pedal with Position Sensor Electrical Connector
  8. With the aid of an assistant, hold the power brake booster away from the dash panel.

  9. Release Brake Pedal Retainer (1)
    10. NOTE:

    Pull the brake pedal rearward.

  10. Release Brake Pedal (2)
  11. Completely loosen the 2 power brake booster bolts.

  12. Remove Brake Pedal Bracket Bolt (1)

  13. Remove Brake Pedal Bracket Bolt (1)
  14. Reposition the brake and accelerator pedal assembly and release the wire harness retainer.
  15. Remove Brake Pedal Assembly

  16. Remove Brake Pedal Retainer (1) and DISCARD
