Installation Procedure

Install the power vacuum brake booster (1) and gasket (2).

CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .

Install the power vacuum brake booster nuts (1) and tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

NOTE:

Install a new power brake booster pushrod retainer.

Install a new power brake booster pushrod retainer to the brake pedal arm.
Install the brake pedal (1) to the power brake booster pushrod.
Install the brake pedal position sensor. Refer to Brake Pedal Position Sensor Replacement .
Install the master cylinder. Refer to Master Cylinder Replacement .

NOTE:

A small amount of denatured alcohol may be used as a lubricant for assembly. Do not use soap.

Install the power brake booster vacuum sensor (1) to the power vacuum brake booster.
Connect the power brake booster vacuum sensor electrical connector.
Install the left front end sheet metal diagonal brace. Refer to Front End Sheet Metal Diagonal Brace Replacement - Left Side (ATS-V)Front End Sheet Metal Diagonal Brace Replacement - Left Side .
