Preliminary Procedure Remove the rear compartment lid inner panel trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Inner Panel Trim Replacement .
1	Auxiliary Rear Compartment Latch Release Handle Access Cover Procedure Depress the retainers and slide the access cover to the right to access the cable end.
2	Auxiliary Rear Compartment Latch Release Handle Retainer Procedure Turn the auxiliary rear compartment latch release handle retainer 180 degrees and pull out of the rear compartment lid latch.
3	Auxiliary Rear Compartment Latch Release Handle Procedure Using the appropriate tool, remove the auxiliary rear compartment latch release handle from the rear compartment lid inner panel trim.
