Removal Procedure

Refer to Exhaust Service Warning .

Refer to Eye Protection Warning .

  1. Remove the exhaust manifold heat shield. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Heat Shield Replacement (LCV) .
  2. If replacing the exhaust manifold, remove the heated oxygen sensor - sensor 1. Refer to Heated Oxygen Sensor Replacement - Sensor 1 (LCV) .
  3. Remove the catalytic converter from the exhaust manifold. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement (LCV) .

  4. Remove and discard the exhaust manifold fasteners (1).
  5. Remove the exhaust manifold (3) and discard the exhaust manifold gasket (2).
