High Mount Stop Lamp Replacement (Coupe)

Preliminary Procedure Remove the rear compartment lid inner panel trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Inner Panel Trim Replacement .
1	High Mount Stop Lamp Screw (Qty: 2) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
2	High Mount Stop Lamp Nut (Qty: 4) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten 4.7 N.m (42 lb in)
3	High Mount Stop Lamp Procedure Disconnect the electrical connector. Remove the 2 high mount stop lamp retainer clips. Remove the 2 high mount stop lamp covers. NOTE: Do not re-install the high mount stop lamp, replace with a new high mount stop lamp. Remove the high mount stop lamp from the vehicle. Remove the high mount stop lamp gasket from the vehicle. Clean the area with a 50/50 mixture by volume of isopropyl alcohol and clean drinking water to remove any left over gasket adhesive residue. Dry the area thoroughly with a clean dry cotton cloth prior to installing the new high mount stop lamp gasket. When removing protective liner from the new high mount stop lamp gasket, be careful not to touch tape with hands and do not allow tape to come in contact with dirt or any foreign matter prior to adhesion.
