Installation Procedure

  1. Position the gear position sensor assembly (3) to the transmission.
    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Install the four gear position sensor retainers (2) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
  3. Connect the gear position sensor electrical connector (1).
  4. Install the shift control assembly to the vehicle. Refer to Shift Control Assembly Replacement (M3L) Shift Control Assembly Replacement (MG9) .
  5. Perform the gear position sensor learn procedure. Refer to Gear Position Sensor Learn
