Removal Procedure

  1. Remove Front Compartment Front Sight Shield.Front Compartment Front Sight Shield Replacement (Sedan)Front Compartment Front Sight Shield Replacement (Coupe)
  2. Remove Air Cleaner Assembly.Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (LCV)
    3. Fig 1: Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe And Retaining Clip At Radiator

  3. Remove Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe Clip (1) @Radiator Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection 
    4. NOTE:

    Cover or plug all open transmission fluid cooler pipe connection points to help avoid any accidental contamination.

  4. Remove Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe (2) @Radiator
  5. Remove Front Wheelhouse Liner.Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (Non V-Series)
  6. Remove Front Air Deflector Front Air Deflector Replacement
  7. Remove Engine Compartment Lower Noise Shield Engine Compartment Lower Noise Shield Replacement (All Wheel Drive)

  8. Remove Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe Clip (1) @Radiator Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection 
    9. NOTE:

    Cover or plug all open transmission fluid cooler pipe connection points to help avoid any accidental contamination.

  9. Remove Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe (2) @Radiator

  10. Remove the transmission fluid cooler inlet and outlet pipe clip bolts (1) from the engine oil pan.

  11. Disconnect the oxygen sensor connector (1) and set aside the oxygen sensor harness.
  12. Remove the transmission fluid cooler inlet and outlet pipe bolt (2) from the transmission.
    13. NOTE:

    Cover or plug all open transmission fluid cooler pipe connection points to help avoid any accidental contamination.

  13. Remove the transmission fluid cooler inlet and outlet pipe (3) from the transmission.

  14. Remove the transmission fluid cooler inlet and outlet pipe fitting seal (1).

    DISCARD the seal.

  15. Remove the transmission fluid cooler inlet and outlet pipe (1) from the vehicle.
  16. Transfer components as necessary.
