Preliminary Procedure Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection Remove Radiator Surge Tank. Refer to Radiator Surge Tank Replacement (LF4, LGX) Raise and support vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (ATS) Remove Front Compartment Lower Noise Shield. Refer to Front Compartment Lower Noise Shield Replacement (Front Wheel Drive)Front Compartment Lower Noise Shield Replacement (All Wheel Drive) Remove Drive Belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement (LGX)
1	Generator Terminal Protective Boot
2	Battery Positive Cable Nut CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten 15 N.m (11 lb ft)
3	Battery Positive Cable
4	Electrical Connector
5	Generator Bolt Tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
