Removal Procedure

Special Tools

BO-38185 Hose Clamp Pliers

For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .

Remove the radiator surge tank. Refer to Radiator Surge Tank Replacement (LTG) .
Remove the plenum front panel. Refer to Plenum Front Panel Replacement .
Remove the fuel pump cover. Refer to Fuel Pump Cover Replacement .

Remove the heater inlet hose (3) and the radiator inlet pipe/hose clamp (2), from the water outlet neck (1).
Remove the radiator inlet hose from the radiator inlet pipe. Refer to Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement (LTG) .

Remove the radiator inlet pipe retainer fastener (1), securing the radiator inlet pipe (3), to the intake manifold cover (2).

Remove the radiator inlet pipe/hose (1) from the engine compartment.
