Installation Procedure

    NOTE:

    Install a NEW engine coolant thermostat gasket.

  1. Install Engine Coolant Thermostat Housing Gasket (3)
  2. Install Engine Coolant Thermostat Housing (2)
    3. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  3. Install Engine Coolant Thermostat Housing Bolt (1) and tighten 10 N.m (89 lb in)

  4. Install Radiator Outlet Pipe (3) - Radiator Outlet Pipe Replacement (LF4)

  5. Connect Fuel Feed Pipe (1) @Engine - Fuel Feed Pipe Replacement (Fuel Tank To Engine LF4)Fuel Feed Pipe Replacement (LF4 at Engine)

  6. Connect Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Tube (1) @Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Pipe - Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Tube Replacement (LF4)

  7. Connect the engine electrical wiring harness (2) to the back of the engine.
  8. Connect Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Electrical Connector (1)

  9. Connect Heater Outlet Hose (1) @Engine Coolant Thermostat Housing - Heater Outlet Hose Replacement (LF4)

  10. Connect Heater Inlet Hose (1) @Engine Coolant Thermostat Housing - Heater Inlet Hose Replacement (LF4)

  11. Install Hood Strut - Right Side (1) - Hood Strut Replacement (ATS-V)

  13. Intake Manifold Cover (3) - Intake Manifold Cover Replacement (LF4)
  14. Fill the cooling system. Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static) Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716) 
  15. Start the engine and check for leaks.
