Installation Procedure

- Position the turbocharger wastegate actuator (2) in place then hand start the fasteners (1).
- Tighten Turbocharger Wastegate Actuator Fasteners (1) to 20 N.m (15 lb ft)
- Install the turbocharger wastegate actuator arm (2) then install its retainer (1) to secure the actuator arm.
- Connect the charge air bypass valve vacuum tube to the turbocharger wastegate actuator. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
- Install Turbocharger Heat Shield - Bank 2. Refer to Turbocharger Heat Shield Replacement (LF4 Bank 2)
- Install Charge Air Bypass Valve Hose - Bank 2. Refer to Charge Air Bypass Valve Hose Replacement (Bank 2)
- Install Air Cleaner Outlet Duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (LF4)
CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
NOTE:
Ensure that the actuator arm retainer is installed as previously noted.
NOTE:
Ensure the wastegate vacuum connection is fully seated and secure. A poor connection can result in a DTC and lead to misdiagnosis.
