Installation Procedure

- Lubricate the threads and sealing surface of the NEW fuel injection fuel rail fuel pressure sensor with one drop of clean engine oil.
- Install the NEW Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Fuel Pressure Sensor (2) @ Fuel Injection Fuel Rail (3) and hand tighten.
- Remove and re-lubricate Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Fuel Pressure Sensor (2) @ Fuel Injection Fuel Rail (3) with one drop of clean engine oil.
- Install and tighten Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Fuel Pressure Sensor (2) @ Fuel Injection Fuel Rail (3) to 33 N.m (24 lb ft)
- Connect Electrical Connector (1) @ Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Fuel Pressure Sensor (2)
- Pressurize the fuel system and inspect for leaks.
- Install Engine Rear Noise Shield. Refer to Engine Rear Noise Shield Replacement (LF4) Engine Rear Noise Shield Replacement (LGX)
NOTE:
Applying force to the plastic housing of the sensor may damage the sensor. To tighten or loosen, apply force only to the attached hexagon.
NOTE:
Ensure the fuel rail threads are clean and free of any excess fuel, or the fuel injection fuel rail fuel pressure sensor will NOT seal properly.
CAUTION:
Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution .
NOTE:
If a fuel leak occurs at the fuel rail, the fuel rail will need to be replaced.
