Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement (LF4) .
  2. Remove Air Cleaner Outlet Duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (LF4) 
  3. Disconnect and reposition the radiator inlet hose. Refer to Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement (LF4) .

    WARNING:

    Refer to Safety Glasses Warning .

  4. Use compressed air to remove debris from the camshaft position actuator solenoid valve solenoid and surrounding cavities.
  5. Disconnect the camshaft position actuator solenoid valve solenoid electrical connector.
  6. Remove the camshaft position actuator solenoid valve solenoid to engine front cover retaining bolt (1).
  7. Remove the camshaft position actuator solenoid valve solenoid (2) from the engine front cover.
