Preliminary Procedures Engine Support Fixture (LF4) Front Cradle Shear Plate Replacement (V Series) Securely support the drivetrain and front suspension cradle with an adjustable jack and lower the cradle to allow enough clearance to remove the left side top engine mount fastener. Drivetrain and Front Suspension Cradle Replacement (LF4) Remove the turbocharger heat shield (LF4 Bank 1). Turbocharger Heat Shield Replacement (LF4 Bank 1)Turbocharger Heat Shield Replacement (LF4 Bank 2)
1	Engine Mount Fastener CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Procedure Working under the hood, remove the engine mount upper fastener. Tighten 70 N.m (52 lb ft)
2	Engine Mount Fastener (Qty: 2) CAUTION: This vehicle is equipped with torque-to-yield or single use fasteners. Install a NEW torque-to-yield or single use fastener when installing this component. Failure to replace the torque-to-yield or single use fastener could cause damage to the vehicle or component. Procedure Remove and DISCARD the fasteners. Install NEW fasteners. Tighten First Pass: 58 N.m (43 lb ft) Final Pass: plus 60-75 degrees
3	Engine Mount Procedure Using the engine support fixture, raise the engine enough to remove the engine mount.
4	Engine Mount Vacuum Hose
5	Phenolic Spacer CAUTION: Phenolic spacer must be present to prevent galvanic/corrosive reaction and/or excessive temperature conduction between engine mount bracket and engine mount. Replace mount if phenolic spacer is missing or damaged. Failure to ensure phenolic spacer is intact and not damaged can lead to premature failure of engine mount and/or engine mount bracket. Procedure Inspect the engine mount to ensure the phenolic spacer is in place and not damaged.
