Installation Procedure

- Assemble the cylinder head as necessary. Cylinder Head Assemble (LGX)
- Ensure the cylinder head locating pins (5) are securely mounted in the cylinder block deck face.
- Install a NEW left cylinder head gasket (4) using the deck face locating pins for retention.
- Install Cylinder Head Assembly (3) - Cylinder Head Installation - Left Side (LGX)
- Install Camshaft Carrier-Left Side (2) - Camshaft Carrier Removal - Left Side
- Install Camshaft-Left Side - Camshaft Replacement - Left Side (LGX)
- Position wire harness and connect as necessary.
- Install ground wire and ground wire bolt. Tighten bolt to 15 N.m (11 lb ft)
- Install Oil Level Indicator Tube (2) - Oil Level Indicator Tube Replacement (LGX)
- Install Catalytic Converter-Left Side (3) - Catalytic Converter Replacement - Left Side (LGX)
- Install Fuel Feed Intermediate Pipe (2) - Fuel Feed Intermediate Pipe Replacement (LGX)
- Install Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Noise Shield (1) - Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Noise Shield Replacement
- Install Camshaft Timing Chain-Left Side - Camshaft Timing Chain Assembly Replacement - Left Side (LGX)
