Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the left diagonal brace. Refer to Front End Sheet Metal Diagonal Brace Replacement - Left Side (ATS-V) .
  2. Remove the fuel pipe shield. Refer to Fuel Pipe Shield Replacement (LF4) .
  3. Remove the intake manifold (2). Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement (LF4) .

  4. Remove the ignition coils. Refer to Ignition Coil Replacement - Bank 2 (LF4) .
  5. Disconnect and remove the engine harness from the camshaft cover.

  6. Remove the left camshaft cover bolts.

  7. Remove the left camshaft cover from the left cylinder head.
  8. Install the EN-46101  guide onto the spark plug tubes of the left cylinder head.
  9. Disassemble the camshaft cover as needed. Refer to Camshaft Cover Disassemble (LF4) .
  10. Clean the mating surfaces of the cylinder head and the camshaft cover. Refer to Camshaft Cover Cleaning and Inspection (LF4)
