Installation Procedure

Assemble the camshaft cover as needed. Refer to Camshaft Cover Assemble (LF4) .

Install new camshaft cover bolt grommets prior to installing the camshaft cover bolts.

Place a bead 8 mm (0.3150 in) in diameter by 4 mm (0.1575 in) in height of RTV sealant equivalent, on the engine front cover split lines (1).

Place the left camshaft cover into position onto the left cylinder head.

CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .

Loosely install the left camshaft cover bolts.

Tighten the left camshaft cover bolts in the sequence shown to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

Remove the EN-46101 guide from the spark plug tubes of the left cylinder head.
Connect and install the engine harness to the camshaft cover.

Install the ignition coils. Refer to Ignition Coil Replacement - Bank 2 (LF4) .
Install the intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement (LF4) .
Install the fuel pipe shield. Refer to Fuel Pipe Shield Replacement (LF4) .
Install the left diagonal brace. Refer to Front End Sheet Metal Diagonal Brace Replacement - Left Side (ATS-V) .
