Radiator Support Replacement

Callout Component Name

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the front fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Impact Bar Replacement (GMC) or Front Bumper Impact Bar Replacement (Chevrolet) .
  2. Remove the hood latch. Refer to Hood Primary and Secondary Latch Replacement .
  3. Remove the radiator. Refer to Radiator Replacement (4.3, 4.8, 5.3, and 6.0L) or Radiator Replacement (LLM) .
  4. Remove auto Transmation cooler If equipped.
  5. Remove Power Streeing cooler Bolt and Repositiion
  6. Remove the A/C condenser. Refer to Condenser Replacement .
  7. Remove the fender bolts. Refer to Front Fender Replacement - Left Side  and Front Fender Replacement - Right Side .
  8. Remove Radiator Air baffles
  9. Remove the washer BottleWindshield Washer Solvent Container Replacement
  10. Remove front impact sensors.
  11. Remove PCM Bracket Bolts and repostion.
  12. Remove hornHorn Replacement - Left Side (GMC) or Horn Replacement - Left Side (Chevrolet)
  13. Disconnect ground from the right frame.
  14. Remove the grill moutring Brackets.
  15. Unclip all electical harness from the radiator support.
1 Radiator Support Mount Nuts (Qty: 2)
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Tighten:  70 N.m (52 lb ft)
2 Radiator Support Mount Bolts (Qty: 2)

Tighten:  70 N.m (52 lb ft)
3 Radiator Support
Tip:  Transfer any parts as needed.
