Headlamp Replacement (Chevrolet)

Preliminary Procedure
- Remove the upper radiator grille. Refer to Radiator Grille Replacement (Chevrolet)
or Radiator Grille Replacement (GMC)
or Radiator Grille Replacement (Chevrolet HD)
or Radiator Grille Replacement (GMC HD)
.
- Behind the headlamp at the top of the front bumper access the lower inside hidden headlamp bolt.
- Loosen the bolt only, do not remove, the lower outside hidden headlamp bolt.

Headlamp Screws (Qty: 2)
Tighten:
6 N.m (53 lb in)

Headlamp Housing Support Procedure
- Apply masking tape to the front bumper end caps to protect the painted surface.
- For the right side lamp assembly only, disengage the upper retainer for the radiator air baffle.
- Release the headlamp from the support tab, rotate the lamp assembly towards the center of the vehicle.
- Disengage the headlamp electrical connector from the forward lamp harness.
