Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the brake drum. Refer to Brake Drum Replacement .

  3. Remove the brake shoe adjuster actuator lever spring (1).

  5. Remove the adjuster actuator lever (1).

  7. Spread the brake shoes apart slightly and remove the brake shoe adjuster (1).
  8. Inspect and replace any missing, worn, or damaged drum brake adjuster hardware. Refer to Drum Brake Adjusting Hardware Inspection .
