Installation Procedure

Position the manual transmission control assembly to the vehicle.

Install the center shift control rod pin (2).
Install the left and right side shift control rod pins (1,3).

Install the center shift control rod pin retainer (2).
Rotate the left and right side shift control rod pins (1,2) in order to lock the retainers into place on the transmission.
Raise the transmission.
Install the transmission support. Refer to Transmission Support Replacement (Manual Transmission) or Transmission Support Replacement (Automatic Transmission) .
Remove the jack supporting the transmission.
Install the propeller shafts. Refer to Front Propeller Shaft Replacement and Rear Propeller Shaft Replacement (RWD) or Rear Propeller Shaft Replacement (AWD) .
Install the exhaust system. Refer to Exhaust System Replacement (With LY7 and LLT) or Exhaust System Replacement (With LP1) .
Lower the vehicle.
Install the manual transmission control mount plate assembly. Refer to Transmission Control Mount Plate Replacement .
Install the front floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement .
Install the transmission control lever knob. Refer to Transmission Control Lever Knob Replacement .
