Installation Procedure

  1. Assemble the oil pan as necessary. Refer to Oil Pan Assemble (RWD) or Oil Pan Assemble (AWD) .

  3. Install the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Installation (RWD) or Oil Pan Installation (AWD) .
  4. Loosen the engine support fixture wing nuts in order to lower the engine and engage the engine mounts to the frame.
  5. Remove the engine support fixture. Refer to Engine Support Fixture .
  6. Remove the transmission oil cooler pipe retainer from the engine right side.
  7. Fill the engine with new engine oil. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement .
  8. Install the A/C compressor bracket with the A/C compressor. Refer to Compressor Replacement .

  10. Install the engine mount lower nuts. Refer to Engine Mount Replacement - Left Side (AWD) or Engine Mount Replacement - Left Side (RWD) and Engine Mount Replacement - Right Side (w/AWD) or Engine Mount Replacement - Right Side (w/RWD) .

  12. Connect the intermediate steering shaft. Refer to Upper Intermediate Steering Shaft Replacement .
  13. Install the power steering hose retainer to the A/C compressor bracket.
  14. Install the engine front cover. Refer to Engine Front Cover Replacement .
