Installation Procedure

NOTE: Component Fastener Tightening Notice .

Apply sealant GM P/N 12378470, (Canadian P/N 10952622), or equivalent to the threads of the drain plug.
Install the drain plug (8).
Tighten: Tighten the drain plug to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

Fill the transfer case to the bottom of the fill plug hole with Mobile LT fluid GM P/N 88861950, (Canadian P/N 88861951).
Install the fill plug (6).
Tighten: Tighten the fill plug hand tight plus 1.25 turns using the DT-48371 .
Lower the vehicle.
