Removal Procedure

  1. Turn the ignition OFF.
  2. IMPORTANT: Do not disconnect the power steering fluid lines/hoses from the reservoir.
  3. Remove the power steering fluid reservoir bolts and reposition the power steering fluid reservoir in order to provide access. Refer to Remote Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Replacement .

  5. Remove the camshaft position (CMP) actuator valve electrical connector.

  7. Remove the CMP actuator valve bolt.
  8. Remove the CMP actuator valve.
  9. Inspect the CMP actuator valve seal for damage and replace as necessary.
