Spoiler - Hood, Rocker, Roof Joint Molding Replacement

Spoiler - Hood, Rocker, Roof Joint Molding Replacement

Callout Component Name
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
Fastener Tightening Specifications:  Refer to Fastener Tightening Specifications .
Rear End Spoiler Assembly Replacement 

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the rear compartment lid inner panel trim assembly. Refer to Trim, Lid, Latch, Strut, Hinge Replacement - Rear Compartment in Body Rear End.
  2. Remove the rear compartment inner panel access plugs to gain access to the outboard spoiler nuts.
1 Nut, Rear End Spoiler (Qty: 8)

Tighten:  6 N.m (53 lb in)

2 Spoiler Assembly, Rear End
Rocker Panel Molding Assembly Replacement 
3 Retainer, Rocker Panel Molding (Qty: 2)
4 Molding Assembly, Rocker Panel
Tip:  Use a J 38778  Door Trim Pad Clip Remover or equivalent to aid in the removal of the rocker panel.
5 Retainer, Rocker Panel Molding (Qty: 5)
6 Retainer, Rocker Panel Molding (Qty: 11)
Hood Front Molding Assembly Replacement 
7 Molding Assembly, Hood Front
8 Retainer, Hood Center Molding (Qty: 6)
Roof Panel Joint Finish Molding Replacement 
9 Molding Assembly, Roof Panel Joint Finish
Tip: 
  1. Remove the roof side reveal auxiliary weatherstrip from the roof panel joint finish molding.
  2. Remove the molding by lifting the outboard edge of the molding first and pulling upward to disengage the retainers.
