Installation Procedure

  1. Install the steering wheel to the steering shaft.
    NOTE:
  2. Install the steering wheel retaining nut.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the steering wheel retaining nut to 41 N.m (30 lb ft).

  3. Install the horn plunger to the steering column.
  4. Install the steering wheel inflator module. Refer to SUPPLEMENTAL INFLATABLE RESTRAINT SYSTEM in SIR.
  5. Enable the SIR system. Refer to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM in SIR.
