Disposal Procedures: Notes

WARNING: Accidental air bag deployment is possible. Personal injury may result. Read and follow service precautions. See AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .
NOTE: If vehicle is to be scrapped, perform on-vehicle deployment. See ON-VEHICLE DEPLOYMENT . If vehicle is remaining in service, perform off-vehicle deployment. See OFF-VEHICLE DEPLOYMENT .

To prevent accidental deployment and personal injury, deploy air bag modules before disposal. DO NOT dispose of undeployed air bag modules at normal refuse locations. Undeployed air bag modules contain substances that can cause severe illness or personal injury if damaged during disposal.
