Turn Signal & Multifunction Switch Assembly - Disassemble - Off Vehicle

  1. Disable the inflatable restraint steering wheel module. Refer to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
  2. Remove the upper and lower trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers - Disassemble - Off Vehicle  .
  3. Remove the wire harness assembly (4) out of the wire harness strap (5). Remove the wire harness straps (3) from the wire harness assembly (4). Remove the wire harness strap (2) from the upper tilt head assembly (1).

  4. Slide the 2 connectors (2) off of the bulk head connector (1).

  5. Remove the 2 pan head tapping screws.

  6. Remove the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly.
