Steering Shaft, Lower Bearing & Jacket - Assemble - Off Vehicle (Column Shift Standard)

- Attach the steering column support assembly (2) to the steering column jacket assembly (3) with 4 TORX head screws (1). Tighten the screws to 17 N.m (13 lb ft).
- Install the steering shaft assembly (1) into the steering column support assembly (2).
- Install the adapter and bearing assembly (1) onto the steering column jacket assembly.
- Install the linear shift assembly. Refer to Linear Shift Assembly - Assemble - Off Vehicle (Column Shift) .
- Install the turn signal and multifunctional switch assembly. Refer to Turn Signal & Multifunction Switch Assembly - Assemble - Off Vehicle .
- Install the electronic lock module assembly. Refer to Electronic Column Lock Module - Assemble - Off Vehicle (Column Shift) or Electronic Column Lock Module - Assemble - Off Vehicle (Floor Shift) .
- Install the steering column into the vehicle. Refer to Steering Column Replacement .
- Install the steering wheel onto the steering column. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement .
- Enable the inflatable restraint steering wheel module. Refer to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
