Parking Brake Cable (Rear): Installation

  1. Install rear cable into backing plate. Ensure all retaining fingers are completely through the backing plate.
  2. Install brake shoes and drum assembly. See REAR BRAKE SHOES .
  3. Install parking brake cable to equalizer.
  4. Adjust parking brake. See PARKING BRAKE  under ADJUSTMENTS.
  5. Lower vehicle.
