Preliminary Procedure: Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
1	Fluid Drain Plug CAUTION: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution . Tip: Place a drain pan capable of containing more than 5 quarts of fluid under the transmission before removing the plug to drain the fluid. Tighten: 12 N.m (106 lb in)
2	Fill Tube Cap Tip: Transmission will require approximately 6.5-7 Liters 7-7.4 quarts of fluid. Fill the transmission with fluid. Refer to Transmission Fluid Check .
