Transmission Fluid Check

  1. Park the vehicle on a level surface.
  2. Ensure vehicle is off.
  3. Remove oil fill cap on top of transmission.
  4. Start vehicle.
  5. Idle engine in Park (P) for 5 minutes to ensure damper is full.
  6. Move PRNDL to Park (P) and wait for transmission to heat up to 30-50 °C (86-122 °F).
  7. Move PRNDL through Neutral (N), Drive (D), Park (P) and Reverse (R) 2 times.
  8. Move PRNDL to Park (P).
  9. Remove oil setting plug (225).
  10. Allow oil to drain until it becomes a slow drip. If no oil drains add .5 L (.52 Qts) until oil drips slowly from plug (225).
  11. Reinstall oil setting plug (225).
  12. Turn vehicle off.
  13. Reinstall oil fill cap.
  14. Total oil approximately 8.9 L (9.4 Qts).
