Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 Saturn Vue. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
    CAUTION: Replace the passenger presence system as a complete assembly to prevent possible injury to the occupant. All the components in the service kit are assembled and calibrated as a unit. Using only some of the components in the service kit will cause the passenger presence system to operate improperly.
  1. If replacing the front passenger seat cushion, you must also replace the inflatable restraint passenger presence system. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Passenger Presence System Replacement - Front (with Heated Seat) or Inflatable Restraint Passenger Presence System Replacement - Front (without Heated Seat) .

  3. Position the seat fully forward.
  4. Disconnect the shoulder belt from the seat quick disconnect feature by using a flat-bladed tool to press the tab.

  6. Remove the front seat adjuster bolts.
  7. Move the seat to the full rearward position.

  9. Disconnect the seat electrical connectors.
  10. Lift the front seat adjuster hooks from the floor pan.
  11. Remove the seat from the vehicle.
